Our History
RMM Online Advertising was founded by Internet entrepreneur Jon Flatt in November of 2003. The company was started from a one-bedroom apartment with only an American Express and a big idea: provide true value to clients through transparent solutions and become the standard in Internet marketing. This post-internet bubble vision along with monetary success attracted the attention of media icon and co-founder of Clear Channel Communications, Red McCombs. Jon and Red joined forces in April of 2005 to create Red McCombs Media.
Since then, RMM has been recognized multiple times by Inc. 5000 for its consistent year-to-year explosive growth. But more important than that, RMM has delivered thousands of campaigns and solutions. RMM’s history consists of listening to client challenges and providing the right solution to ensure the campaign's success.
LIN TV recognized RMM’s unique business model in 2008. RMM’s core strengths and successes fit perfectly into LIN TV’s strategy to grow multimedia content, sales, and technology worldwide. RMM was acquired by LIN TV in October of 2009 and was rebranded RMM Online Advertising. Since then, RMM has continued to grow at a rapid pace while developing dynamic solutions for the ever-changing world of online advertising. LIN TV since then has become LIN Media to reflect its new media success and on going commitment to multimedia client solutions.
